Global Village is back. After months of quiet grounds and empty pavilions, Dubai’s most popular outdoor destination reopens on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at 6pm for its 31st season.
If you have been before, you already know the drill: dozens of cultures, thousands of shopping stalls, street food from every corner of the world, and enough lights to power a small city. But this year there are new rides, refreshed pavilions, and a few operational tweaks designed to make the visit smoother.
Here is everything you need to know before you go.
Dubai Global Village Season 31
When It Opens and How Late It Stays
Season 31 kicks off at 6pm on Wednesday, October 14, 2026. That is a one-off early opening for launch night. For the rest of the season, the gates open at 4pm.
Closing times depend on the day. From Sunday through Wednesday, the park shuts at midnight. Thursday, Friday, Saturday and public holidays run until 1am. That gives you plenty of time to wander, eat, and catch the late shows without feeling rushed.
Ticket Prices This Year
Global Village has kept pricing simple this season. Entry costs AED 25 on weekdays and AED 30 on weekends and public holidays. Weekends are defined as Friday through Sunday.
You can buy tickets through the Global Village website, the mobile app, or at the gates. If you are planning multiple visits, it is worth checking whether any multi-entry packages or promotional offers appear later in the season, though none have been announced at launch.
The Pavilions: What’s New and What’s Back

This season brings together 29 pavilions representing more than 90 cultures, with over 3,500 shopping outlets spread across them.
A few pavilions have had a facelift. The Sri Lanka Pavilion and the Russia and Azerbaijan Pavilion both feature refreshed experiences. The Syria Pavilion and Kuwait Pavilion are returning with renewed façades.
For visitors who treat Global Village like a cultural scavenger hunt, the Season 31 Passport is back, along with a separate Kids Passport. You collect stamps at dedicated stations in every pavilion, which turns the evening into something a little more memorable than just shopping and eating.
Tokyo Rush and the Rides
The biggest physical addition this year is Tokyo Rush, a new roller coaster launching later in the season. It promises sharp turns, high-speed action, and a full loop. An exact opening date has not been confirmed yet, so do not plan your first visit around it unless you are happy to wait.
The rest of the ride lineup is familiar but solid. Carnaval returns with its mix of arcade games, family entertainment, and classic rides. The Festival Wheel is back with refreshed carts. Returning attractions include The Dragon Kingdom, The Horror Hotel, Secrets of the Lost City, and Exo Planet City.
Where to Eat: New Restaurants and Cafés
Food has always been half the reason people come here, and this season there are over 250 dining options to choose from.
New arrivals include Trabzon Turkish Restaurant. Over at Restaurant Plaza, three more concepts have joined: Robo Al Sham for Levantine cuisine, Hawawshi Al Rabie for Egyptian food, and Chicking for fried chicken.
On the café side, look out for Vinci Dolci, Emirati Bey Gourmet, and Uzungol Café. The Dessert District also returns with a refreshed façade for anyone with a sweet tooth and no intention of resisting it.
40,000 Shows and New Entertainment

The entertainment schedule is massive. Global Village has announced 40,000 shows for the season, which averages out to over 1,300 performances a day.
New this year is Fast Live 2: The Police Strikes Back, an action stunt show built around high-energy performances and vehicular chaos. Two new anchor shows are also joining the lineup. Bollywood Idol follows two brothers on diverging paths through music, dance, and drama. Bank Heist is a true-crime-inspired production mixing acrobatics with action sequences.
Returning favourites include the anchor show Slam, while younger visitors can catch Care Bears and PJ Masks at the Kids Theatre.
Smoother Visits: Parking, Washrooms and Chatbots
Global Village has made a few practical upgrades that regulars will appreciate. A new VIP Parking Self-Payment system lets you pay at dedicated vending machines before you reach the exit, which should cut the queue at the barrier.
The Family POD Washrooms have been expanded. Happiness Gate now has additional ticket counters to speed up entry. New bilingual Arabic and English signage has gone up at the Gate of the World, and improved directional signs are now in place across key parking areas.
If you get lost or need help, a new WhatsApp chatbot is available for information and support during your visit.
Elsewhere on the grounds, Gardens of the World returns with refreshed landscaping. The Cultural Gate has new LED lighting, and the Sharjah tunnel providing access to Global Village has been given a new theme.
Getting There and Getting In
Opening night: Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at 6pm
Regular hours: 4pm to midnight (Sunday–Wednesday), 4pm to 1am (Thursday–Saturday and public holidays)
Tickets: AED 25 weekdays, AED 30 weekends and public holidays
Buy at: globalvillage.ae, the mobile app, or at the gate
Parking is available on-site, and the new self-payment machines should make exiting faster than in previous years. If you are taking a taxi or ride-hailing service, the Sharjah tunnel route has been refreshed and should be clearly signposted.
Final Thoughts
Global Village is not subtle, and it is not trying to be. It is loud, colourful, crowded, and deliberately overwhelming in the best possible way. Season 31 adds just enough new content, from the Tokyo Rush coaster to the refreshed pavilions and upgraded parking, to justify another visit even if you have been ten times before. Go hungry, wear comfortable shoes, and give yourself at least four hours. You will need them.
